Tijuana-Teaching Chapter

“I first became interested in opening a Science of Mind center in 2002, when I traveled to Russia and Ukraine as a Global Heart delegate to lecture and facilitate workshops on SOM. I met people who profoundly touched my heart with their thirst for our teachings, as well as, by their openness and generosity. The Global Heart Vision compelled me to create a center in our neighboring city, Tijuana, Mexico. Our vision is depicted in the photo above- we see borders melting into prayer flags, and see hugs welcoming people in place of fences.

“After opening in May, 2005, with weekly SOM lectures, we moved to our new space in January of 2006. At our center we teach certified SOM classes to over forty students and hold Sunday services with fabulous music. We are beginning book studies in February, 2007.

We also offer Yoga six times a week, Reiki, Tibetan Buddhism meditations and gatherings (taught by Tibetan Buddhist Lamas Lhanang and Tulku Orgyen) and continue to facilitate Self-esteem workshops to schools and orphanages throughout Baja California through our “School without Walls” project.

We recently began a new outreach project, where we sponsor a “Desayunador” which provides breakfast for 90 children daily. We sponsored a posada(Christmas dinner and celebration) for over four hundred (400) children in Tijuana on December 21; and Coraon Global sponsored gifts for over 55 children for Christmas.

This past year has been exciting, as I have been appearing on television regularly, invited to various gatherings in the city; and have appeared on radio talk shows in the Tijuana area. I bring Science of Mind to Baja California in love and with joy.
