An Australian who worked in the United States for 18 years, Barry Pierce was ordained in 2003 at Dr. O. C. Smith’s City of Angels Church of Religious Science. His ministerial studies were at Huntington Beach UCRS Church and City of Angels in Los Angeles.

He returned to Australia in 2004 to care for aging parents.  He now conducts weekly study groups on the Gold Coast (which is like the Hawaii of Australia).

He first started exploring and teaching metaphysics and universal mind twenty five years ago in Sydney and Tasmania. He holds a doctorate in Metaphysics from the University of Metaphysics and is a U.S. Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist.  In Los Angeles, he worked with the Hypnosis Motivation Institute and Westwood Medical Group and was in private practice.  He worked with presenting motivational seminars through the Personna Group, Optima Seminars, and Dynamic Breakthrough.  

In business, he has achieved success in many business and media pursuits. He has presented radio and television programs in England, Scotland, Australia and the United States. His studies of belief systems led him to explore yoga, Alpha Dynamics, Silva, Lifespring, Reiki, Kenja, Brama Kumaris, Raj Yoga and other disciplines.

In Australia, there are only two practicing religious science ministers and about five Unity ministers.  All are working together to spread New Thought.  As we grow and organize as a group of like minded ministers, we will welcome guest speakers and teachers who wish to experience the wonder down under.  In the meantime, materials and ideas for stimulating our study group are appreciated as is your support in treating for our growth in Australia.
