Situated on the South coast of England The Centre for Spiritual Living is a registered Charity and was originally established during the 70’s. Presently it is the only ‘Church’ of Religious Science in the UK , although there are a handful of Study Groups scattered throughout the Country.

In England it is very noticeable that faith in a universal power is on the decline and that there is a definite cultural reticence towards orthodox/traditional religions. Nevertheless, more than ever, people are searching for the meaning of life. They gravitate towards metaphysical bookstores and alternative therapies, in the hope to ‘heal their lives’. In fact, ‘New Thoughts’ type teachings are apparent all over the place, through films, self-development books, life coaching and even in some instances extending to the business world.

The Centre for Spiritual Living is dedicated to showing that there is freedom, an abundance of love, prosperity and joy available to everyone, simply because these things are our birthright and that they can be enjoyed now, here on Earth.

Rev Anya Slatter conducts a Service every Sunday and is also teaching classes. She is committed to increasing her Church Membership through regular advertising, workshops and talks on the Science of Mind way of life to clubs and groups within the area. Much work has been done and much progress made but still, there is a lot more to do and more of God’s substance in the form of money to be spent! Having finished her ministerial studies last summer with Rev Roger Juline who came over to the UK on a teaching trip with his wife Kathy, Rev Anya is now working towards her Ordination, which, she hopes, will be in the not too distant future!

The Centre for Spiritual Living welcomes support, particularly in the form of guest speakers, workshop leaders and donations, in fact anything that may help grow their church!
