Overview:
The primary responsibility of the Director of the Partnership/Member
Relations Ministry is to provide the vision, leadership and day-to-day
management of the activities involving our Covenanted Member community.
The Covenanted Member community includes churches, spiritual centers,
study groups, portfolio ministries, affiliations, ministers, practitioners
and laity. As a senior level position, the successful candidate will:
provide the maturity and experience to effectively lead efforts to
unite and expand our domestic and global ministries: facilitate all
Home Office resources to effectively provide services which inspire,
educate and empower: and ensure that “customer satisfaction” is
achieved in all areas of the ministry and that the vision and goals
of the Global Heart are consistently demonstrated through all communications
and relationships effectively, efficiently and with a high level of
excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- UCRS or other New Thought denomination Minister
- Working familiarity with the UCRS organizational model and the
Global Heart Vision
- 5-7 years progressive experience in project or department management
- Proven track record in leadership, team building, volunteer coordination
- Must be able to relocate to Southern California to work full-time
in our Home Office in Burbank, CA.
- The articulation of a personal and compelling vision for the Partnership
and Member Relations Ministry
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Has the ability
to communicate effectively with Church leadership, staff, and Covenanted
Members as required.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree
- 3-5 years field experience
Responsibilities:
The Director, in a shared leadership model, acting as a vision facilitator,
assumes responsibilities which include the leadership, management,
supervision, coordination and facilitation of the following areas:
- Partnership Program
- The creation and facilitation of systems of support between
Covenanted Members – with one another and with Home Office
- The support of new works and communities in transition
- The establishment of the Global Heart culture throughout the
community
- Peacemaking and Professional Standards
- Working with Stewardship Core Coordinator and CSL, establish
the Professional Standards Core
- Create, implement and monitor peacemaking initiatives and processes
- Ecclesiastical Representatives
- Working with the leadership team to coordinate the services
and activities provided by the Ecclesiastical Representatives
- Growth and Ministries
- Oversee the updating of all the forms and processes associated
with chartering, licensing, affiliations, ordinations and others
- Documentation, Licensing and Code enforcement
- Cores
- Provide leadership and direction to the gifted and talented
of our community (Cores) which includes the existing Global Core
and PMR Core and the to-be-formed Professional Standards Core and
Practitioner Core.
- Communications
- Support the implementation of a Regional Model for growth, service
and communication
- Supervise the Administrator responsible for the communication
and administration of the Regional Model
- Recruitment and training of Regional Coordinators
- Operational
- Create and present strategic and operational plans for all areas
of responsibility
- Provide incremental reports to the CORE council and the communities
as required
- Facilitate the support and consciousness needed in Home Office
staff in support of Member Relations
- Provide conscious leadership for all fiscal responsibilities
including revenue, expenses and budgets
- Attend all organizational conferences which includes: The Gathering,
Asilomar, Eastern Conference and others as appropriate
Other:
Must be dedicated to the Global Heart Vision, our Shared Values and
Guiding Principles: visioning, teamwork, open communication, accountability,
and congruence.
This new ministry, funded for the 05/06 fiscal year, is an expanded
definition and concept of the Partnership Program. The successful candidate
will be both skillful and comfortable with creating something new,
recognizing that they are not stepping into an established department
or assuming known roles and responsibilities. This new ministry will
be an act of co-creation with existing leadership and staff.
